Everyone knows that those on the right like to talk about the liberal media a lot. There's maybe less of an overall bias towards the liberal side of the media since Fox News has gotten big; that's not really the point though. I heard somewhere the other day (I think on NPR, actually) about before the Yellow Journalism time, the newspapers were very open about their bias -- the Arkansas Republican, names like that. Might be biased, but they admitted it.
Fox News (Fair and Balanced) and CNN don't admit it, but they're both biased. I'll give Fox credit for being a bit more open about it, though.
I'm not actually so concerned about bias towards the left or the right. At this point, I'm viewing that as pretty minor. What actually interests me a lot more, is the bias towards supporting the State.
So, did you see anything about the LP candidate, Michael Badnarik getting arrested? Or having a lawsuit against the Committee on Presidential Debates, and Arizona State? Not from the mainstream media, you didn't.
Pretty amazing, really... if Nader got arrested or sued to be in the debates, we'd hear all about it. Badnarik is on the ballot in more states than Nader, but we don't hear one word. Can't let the people hear about someone offering an alternative to the Republicrats party, after all.
Anyone who doesn't like the State must be crazy. Or naieve. Whatever the case, we better not mention people who don't fit into the plans of the State, lest more people start thinking their ideas make sense.
I blame the Statist Media.
