Sobran

Joe Sobran sometimes comes across as a bit too conservative for me. He used to edit the National (Socialist) Review.

On matters of politics, though, I often times enjoy what he has to say -- he's a holdover of the old right. Not a Statist. Even if I don't agree with everything he says, he gets bonus points in my book for not being a Statist. Refreshing.

Anyway, though, the point of this is just to share this quote -- apparently from 1995 or so:

If you want government to intervene domestically, you're a liberal.
If you want government to intervene overseas, you're a conservative.
If you want government to intervene everywhere, you're a moderate.
If you don't want government to intervene anywhere, you're an extremist.
